SHOW WEEK TWO!

 

Thursday December 7

Tech Rehearsal, this means the rehearsal is for the new tech crew and the first time the dancers will experience on a stage that has a slightly different shape, a bit more narrow, but a deeper. This means another set of legs for entrances and exits to be blocked.

 

Call (theatre term for when you arrive at the theatre, it is important to pay attention to this time, if you are late, we may prepare your understudy to go.)

 

GO TO THE STAGE DOOR ENTRANCE

USE THE BACKSTAGE CROSS OVER

DO NOT CROSS THE STAGE WHILE THE TECHNICIANS ARE WORKING

 

5:00 call for Act 2 dancers report to your dressing room and get ready

6:00 estimated start time for Act 2

6:00 call for Act 1 dancers

7:10 estimated end time for Act 2 and estimated time for full company bows and meeting and notes

7:30 estimated start time for Act 1, this act includes all the fly rail work and has an intense light cue sheet, we will be done by 9, but it is impossible to know when exactly.

 

Friday December 8

Dress Rehearsal with special audience.

Call (theatre term for when you arrive at the theatre, it is important to pay attention to this time, if you are late, we may prepare your understudy to go.)

5:30 call for ALL dancersreport to your dressing room and get ready

7:00 Curtain

9:10 Show over, but greeting of our special guests begins in the lobby. Parents, remember we are downtown and the building is open to the public. Remember your backstage pass.

 

Saturday December 9

Call (theatre term for when you arrive at the theatre, it is important to pay attention to this time, if you are late, we may prepare your understudy to go.) Durham Christmas Parade will impact traffic patterns until about noon.

1:00 call for ALL dancers report to your dressing room and get ready

2:00 Curtain

4:10 Show over, you may go and return or stay. Lauren will be in the building all day.

6:00 call for ALL dancers

7:00 Curtain

9:10 Show over, but strike begins! Make sure all your props and headpieces are stored neatly and ready to go back into storage. Pay attention to the signs in the dressing rooms regarding costume collection.​

 

From last bow, move swiftly from the stage for strike to begin. The TYB faculty, the Carolina Theatre crew and Mother Ginger/Truck Driver would like to leave the theater before midnight.
