ATTENDANCE 

• Mandatory attendance at all rehearsals and performances

• Missed rehearsal or performance = withdrawal from the show

• Have pre-existing obligations? Please do not accept a role

 

REHEARSALS

• Rehearsal times announced weekly on the website 

• Rehearsal times posted each week by role 

• Parents should arrive by the posted end of rehearsal times 

• Please be considerate of the staff and pick your dancer up promptly

PARENT TASKS 

• Sign-Ups on the website in October, and: 

• A parent is expected to volunteer for 3 parent tasks

  • Provide 2 dozen - or more - wrapped treats for sale for concessions in Chapel Hill

    1. Nicely packaged in $1 each portions

    2. Drop them in theater lobby at Friday Tech Rehearsal 

 

ILLNESS / FAMILY EMERGENCY 

• Email TYBNutcracker@gmail.com immediately 

• It must be prior to any rehearsal / performance that would be affected

• Each case is evaluated by the directors

• Absence may result in loss of role or dismissal from production 

 

COSTUMES AND HEADPIECES  

• Costumes and Headpieces are provided
• All are property of the Triangle Youth Ballet
• Damage or loss may incur fees
• Hairstyles/ Headpieces are specified for each role 

1. Use gel and hair spray for a professional appearance 

2. Bobby pins in an X formation secure all headpieces

3. Party Girls provide their own curls 

 

SHOES & TIGHTS 

• Shoes & tights purchased by each dancer 

• Shoe & tight requirements will be provided for each role at nuttysecretpages,weebly.com 

• Any vendor is ok, but in the online TYB dress code shop you can purchase everything you need from Eurotard and it will be shipped to you from Dance Fashions.  If you want to  go this route contact us for a discount coupon code.

 

STAGE MAKE-UP 

• Dancers are expected to wear stage make-up

• There will be zoom make-up lessons in November.

• Dancers never leave backstage in make-up
